Our Story: Inspired by Family, Built on Experience

Step2Health was founded by Vince Baiera, a former Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse who worked at Cleveland Clinic and Duke University Hospital.

Throughout his nursing career, Vince witnessed firsthand the impact that falls and mobility limitations can have on patients and their families.

But the inspiration for Step2Health came even closer to home.

As his grandparents grew older, they began experiencing difficulties getting in and out of bed, including falls that resulted in injuries. Vince recognized the need for a practical solution that could provide additional support while allowing people to continue using their own beds.

That experience led to the creation of Step2Bed, a bedside mobility aid combining an adjustable step, supportive handrails, and other features designed to assist with everyday bed transfers.

What began as a solution for his own family grew into Step2Health, a brand dedicated to helping others maintain their independence at home.
