I purchased the step2bed for my mother who has PD. Because she has a mechanical lift bed, this was the only option to assist getting in and out of bed because all side rails, halos, trapeze require a metal bed frame and a hospital bed was recommended. My mother and I agree she is not ready for a hospital bed. Instead we thought to try the step2bed. Although her OT and PT do not want her using the step, we turned the step2bed so that she can use the rail only to assist her. It's working out perfectly. We also like that the step2bed can be easily moved to make the bed. Then we return it to the position that meets her present needs. Thank you.
